About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (CVPICU) for a 26-week contract in the Phoenix, Arizona area. The RN will provide specialized cardiovascular critical care nursing to pediatric patients while collaborating closely with physicians, interdisciplinary healthcare teams, patients, and families.
This assignment requires experience in pediatric CVICU and the ability to float to PICU and NICU settings based on clinical and staffing needs. The RN may also be assigned across locations in Phoenix, Glendale, Avondale, and Gilbert.
ResponsibilitiesProvide evidence-based cardiovascular critical care nursing to pediatric patients based on age, condition, and individualized plans of care.
Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor changes in patient condition, and implement appropriate critical care interventions.
Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary healthcare teams, patients, and families to coordinate safe and effective care.
Float to PICU and NICU settings and assigned locations based on patient care and staffing requirements.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation while supporting patient safety, family-centered care, and established nursing practice standards.
Minimum 2 Years of Registered Nurse Experience in Pediatric CVICU Required; Children's Hospital Experience Preferred.
Current Arizona Registered Nurse License or Compact RN License With Multistate Privileges Required Prior to Start.
Current American Heart Association BLS Certification Required.
Current American Heart Association PALS Certification Required; Current NRP Certification Preferred.
ADN, BSN, or Diploma in Nursing Required; Experience Floating to PICU and NICU Required, With Level III or IV NICU Hospital Experience Strongly Preferred.
This contract opportunity is suited for an experienced pediatric CVICU RN comfortable providing high-acuity cardiovascular care and floating between pediatric and neonatal intensive care settings.
